Graharipu was a powerful ruler of the Abhiras in the mid-10th century A.D., who established his capital at Vamanasthali (present-day Vanthali near Junagadh) and brought large parts of southern and western Saurashtra under his control. The great Jain scholar Hemchandracharya clearly mentions him as an Abhira, confirming his dynastic identity and historical importance.
